Yesterday, I decided that enough was enough (this is usually how I get out of my 'poor me' depression moments - they truly are not serious). I turned on some tunes and I immediately felt better. I didn't get much done, but I got something done and that's a start.
Today, Elizabeth calls me when she decides that she's spent enough time on the computer. She told me if she didn't get off then, she'd be on it all day and would never get anything done. Well, I can't read my blogs and talk at the same time, so I closed up the laptop and talked to Elizabeth. Since I'm
After we hung up, I logged onto The Man Beast's machine (it's hooked up to the TV with the surround sound) and added the XM Widget (he has Vista). I've been listening to my favorite station pretty much all day (Elizabeth can testify to this as she probably heard it in the background when she called me again).
Today, I've been listening to country. Sometimes, I listen to praise and worship (I've got a favorite for that, too).
It's simply amazing what music can do. Sometimes, I want complete silence, but obviously, I needed more this time.
Oh and that to do list? Yeah, it's all done.
Until next time...
Hiyas!
ReplyDeleteIts me! I agree totally, a good song is just a great for the moment anti-depressant. I have several lists on Windows Media Player just for this. Problem is the music is actually stored on Kai's computer and occasionally he does "cleaning up" and forgets that I "use" some of the stuff on that computer, lol.
I will read on down and see what I have missed :-)
Hugs to ya'All,
Ruqayyah/ Julie
I think, Iva, dear, it is perfectly normal to feel that way. I am hoping, at least, that Elizabeth & myself cheered you up some. I keep on forgetting about that list thing, oh wait, sorry, had a temporarily loss of memory, ROFL. J/K. AND YOUR RIGHT, I AM THE ONE WHO IS AFRAID OF THE OUTCOME. Blessings my dear friend..♥
